Check out Gubby Gear!!
Gubby Gear is a home grown venture that was born out of the desire to create something personal from something that seemed relatively commercial. “As I made baby blankets for my friends, I began to choose fabrics that seemed most fitting for baby and mom. When my kids asked me to make blankets for them, I decided to make robes instead. The fabrics matched the kids that they were. As better fabrics came on the market, I created new products. Today’s Gubby Gear products are a result of the inspiration I get from the amazing fabrics that I continue to find. We hope that you will find a fabric that is just right for you and look forward to even more good things to come.”
Megan and Dave decided to have an intimate Napa Valley wedding at The Vintage Estate in Yountville, CA. They are from Austin, Texas (my favorite southern town) and their friends and family all flew in to witness this wonderful couple say their vows….and whoa their vows! Everyone was sobbing their heads off–including me. Very touching and emotional and Megan’s two sons helped lighten the mood by throwing rose petals all over the place and doing their schtick in front of the camera. Beautiful flowers by TESORO – Paul Stokey Design and yummy southern eats such as ribs and macaroni and cheese was served by Villagio Private Dining . It was a very wonderful occasion and I’m honored to meet them and document this lovely day!
Wow! So many adjectives come to my mind when I think about Monica and Frank! Sparkly, blissful, vivacious, loyal, and MADLY in LOVE! They are so incredibly smitten with each other and this is after 5 years of being in a relationship and living together with their two dogs. Monica even moved to Singapore briefly to be with Frank. They are in it for the long haul but with lots of laughs and beautiful family and friends by their side every step of the way.
Their wonderful uncle got the two cool woody’s to take them to Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco’s North Beach and also rented a trolley car from Bauer Transit for the guests. I mean this church is the closest to the Vatican the California coast has to offer…..it’s exquisite in its detail. Then we all bounded off to the Julia Morgan Ballroom where the talented and warm Linda Hylen had meticulously planned and created a lovely welcome reception in the foyer for the guests to welcome Monica and Frank (in parallel with the fine tuned details and elegant reception she had waiting for them upstairs in the Ballroom!). Looking down from the balcony, we were able to get a group shot of everyone together which will sure to be a treasure for the adorable couple. Monica is super artistic and made the gorgeous peacock center pieces on the cocktail tables and the escort card table. Then, to top it off her guest book was an incredible piece of scrapbooking magic with all the photos of the two of them together for the last 5 years all over the world.
Truly, the entire evening was personalized and made meaningful with exquisite details like Monica’s necklace from Looney Maiden , Hawaiian leis to tribute Frank’s family whom are from the islands, and their cake by Cake Walk Creations was an ocean blue to represent their beach lifestyles with shells decoratively placed everywhere. Appetizers and the scrumptious dinner was created by Julia Morgan Ballroom’s Credo Catering and her gorgeous flower arrangements and bouquets were masterminded by Edmonds Flowers !
So much fun and fantastic dancing went on and the band, Joel Nelson Productions , was rocking the house! Can’t wait to see the hand crafted video from Video Life Productions . We loved every second with this beautiful couple and wish them oooooodles of happiness in the years to come!
After a week of rain, the sun came out in San Francisco for the beautiful wedding of Leah and Aria at San Francisco’s General’s Residence in Fort Mason . It turned out to be a perfect day for this hilarious and fun couple to exchange their vows in front of their friends and family. Thanks to the supervision by Kathryn Fox Hellerslien of Fort Mason and all the folks that made the day so wonderful including… the flowers designed and meticulously placed by Agave Flowers and Aria’s sister, Anita Eshraghi. And what an unbelievable work of ART by Afsan Catering was the fruit table – not only delicious but a masterpiece! Afsan Catering also served roast lamb and salmon and delectable Persian delights. The night continued on with heart felt toasts, cake by The Cakemaker (chef Bala) , and DJ Alireza mixed contemporary music along with Persian classics that people danced to! It was a day filled with tradition and love but also a lot of humor as during their vows, Leah pulled her note out of the bosom of her dress and to top it off, Aria, has his best man unroll a gigantic graph titled, “Leah and Aria’s Love”. Everyone about died laughing when he pulled out that stop. It was a fantastic day with all the children ending up in their pajamas on the dance floor rocking out to LMFAO’s, “I’m Sexy and I know it!” A perfect end to this awesome tongue in cheek couple!
Sophie and Jeremy were such a kind and cute couple it is a blessing to photograph weddings with people like this. All their family and friends flew in from all over the country (including them) as they live in the south now. It made for a VERY enjoyable evening as there was more laughter with tears then you could imagine. Everyone was so thrilled to be there for them and because it was small and intimate, everyone was relaxed and having a wonderful time. The wedding took place in Sonoma at the Depot Hotel one block off the historic Sonoma Plaza – which is a beautiful spot for a wine country wedding!! Thanks to Gia Ghilarducci, the Banquet Manager of The Depot Hotel, the day went smoothly and the guests were able to enjoy the delicious food of the Depot Hotel Restaurant one of the landmarks of the lovely “Valley of the Moon” in California’s wine country. The flowers designed and crafted by Sonoma Flowers and the music by guitarist Mark Abdilla were some special touches that just added to the intimacy and beauty of the day!
As a San Francisco Bay Area Mitzvah photographer, we are happy to be published on Mitzvah Market for a Bar Mitzvah at the Congregation Rodef Sholom in San Rafael, Marin and the party at the Meadow Club in Fairfax. Due to the amazing design and planning of Jayne Greenberg of Just Jayne Event Planning and the talents of Meadow Club’s Catering Manager, Raymond Manzano it was a spectacular and fun day for this wonderful family!
Marisa and Josh are such a kind hearted couple and their love for one another and their dog, Baxter is uncharted! They exchanged their vows on the 18th hole in front of the The Lodge at Pebble Beach in Carmel Valley. It was a ridiculously beautiful day and and the oceanfront views not only created an amazing backdrop for the guests witnessing the ceremony but created a magical location to say I Do! With the help of Daryl Griffith, Director of Pebble Beach Catering, Pete Grissim, and their staff the guests meandered down to the Beach Club and were greeted with more stunning views, scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, amazing florals, and yummy cocktails!
Not only planning this flawless wedding, the design and ambience …coral, sea fans, and unique seashells were abound along with candles floating in glass spherical vases and were decoratively placed all around The Beach Club by Julie Nunn and Molly Hale with I Do! Wedding & Event Design . They created an exquisite seaside backdrop with views of the pacific ocean behind all the larger then life windows and skylights.
A few extra big thank you’s to Katie and Marisa for their artistry with hair and make-up, friend and officiant Ann Colburn, Main Event Transportation , the knock your socks off your feet chocolates by Vidamore Chocolates , and the rockin tunes of Keith Johnson and the All Stars Band . And last but not least was the CAKE by Pebble Beach Catering —incredible!
Farah and Aaron were elated to be surrounded by so many loved ones and had a unique ceremony where they relinquished doves to the sprawling valleys of Mt. Tam. The Mountain Home Inn is a beautiful spot for a bay area wedding!! It is nestled atop Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley and overlooks the San Francisco Bay facing the sunrise…just a huge perk, for a San Francisco wedding photographer! What a great location and thank you to Sarah Reed and her team for creating such a flawless day for Farah, Jeremy and their friends and family.
The cake by Hanna Tai , the bride and groom’s table and various flower arrangements designed by sister, Benny, table arrangements by Song, Farah’s wedding bouquet by Catalina are some of the beautiful details of the day!
