We were so very thankful to be a part of a wedding that was so rich in tradition and color not to mention we got to work with the kindest people. Rohit and Anusha were married at the Julia Morgan Ballroom at the Merchants Exchange in the heart of San Francisco which style lends itself perfectly to the customs, traditions, and elegance of this beautiful Indian wedding (did you see the Chuppah designed by Carol Attia ). Styled by Jennivine Lee, Anusha looked gorgeous and the mehndi artist, Ravie Kattaura whose beautiful work can be seen on her hands and feet as well as some of the other guests was absolutely stunning!
Big thanks to Linda Hylen, the director of the Ballroom, for making everything run flawlessly as well as to Kimberley at the ballroom for the refreshing and tasty non-alcoholic cocktails . This really was an amazing event with a vegetarian organic menu of dishes served by Vidya Gurikar of Silver Spoon. The flavors and smells radiated throughout the ballroom and guests (that came from India) devoured and commented how delicious it was. And the cupcakes by Chelsea at Kingdom Cake were not only scrumptiously vegan but a works of art. Ben Henriteg with micro-documentaries was there to capture this special day on video…can’t wait to see it! And special thanks to all of the great friends and family including Ellen Uy for creation and design of the donation table and Susi Garcia and Priti Radhakrishnan for assembling the center pieces which were btw very environmentally friendly as the guests were able to take home the spices and fruits and veggies – perfectly GREEN.
The final note I would like to mention is that instead of wedding gifts Rohit and Anusha asked folks to contribute to a charity called SoCare in Bangalore. This organization houses and cares for the children of the convicts from a neighboring prison. This was the type of day that makes you go home with a smile on your face and know that there are good people all over the world.
